alrightyyy so i haven't posted in a while and that is actually because i have been pretty busy!!
Let's see...Monday was my first day in the Pulmonary Rehabilitation environment for clinical and it actually started off quite bumpy...my intructor was busy doing a recertification for her Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate so she was gone all morning and some poor RT got stuck with me shadowing him all morning haha. On Monday afternoon, i went to actually see the pulmonary rehab floor and its filled with old sick people. So during that time, i went to go observe a breathing exercise with one of the Physiotherapists.....it was the weirdest thing EVER!! it looked almost like yoga, done in slow motion and while sitting down...by old people who may or may not be connected to Oxygen...anyhow it made me realize how many things i take for granted...like being able to breathe properly, being able to bend down and tie my shoes or putting on clothes without losing my breath....it was a pretty sad realization...but i can take comfort in the fact that over 95% of these diseases are caused by smoking and no one in our family has a significant smoking history...riight???
When i got back from work on Monday, went to do so many things! got more groceries (i bought stuff to make fettucine bolognaise with mushrooms haha it helps to know what some of these pasta entrees are called in Italian...makes them sound so fancy lol), then i did some laundry, then i watched the very-odd Season premiere of House, then i went to do some reading on pulmonary rehab...and that's Monday for ya!
